I started McGhie’s as a natural step in my career, and over the years it’s grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. As the business has expanded and the team has grown, I’ve developed a real passion for designing better heating systems, researching new technology and continually improving the way we work.
Just as importantly, I want McGhie’s to be a place where people enjoy coming to work, take pride in what they do, and have the opportunity to develop their skills and build a long-term career. My goal is simple: keep learning, keep improving and build a company that both our customers and our team are proud to be part of.
Megan McGhie
Megan McGhie
Megan has been part of the McGhie’s journey from the beginning and has supported the business as it has grown. As the company has expanded, her role has naturally evolved, but she still helps out when needed and continues to be an important part of the team behind the business.
Donna
Donna
Donna joined McGhie’s Plumbing & Heating in February 2026 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office. With a background in HR, business systems and process management, she plays a key role in keeping the business organised and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Donna manages customer enquiries, quotations, scheduling and the day-to-day administration of the business, helping to keep projects on track from the first phone call through to completion. As the company continues to grow, she will increasingly focus on developing our internal systems, improving processes and supporting HR, helping to build a business that delivers a consistently high level of service for both our customers and our team.
Pete
Pete – Senior Heating Engineer
Pete is one of our most experienced heating engineers and specialises in the installation, servicing and repair of gas and oil heating systems, as well as fault finding on more complex heating installations. He has built a strong reputation for taking a methodical approach to diagnosing faults and finding reliable, long-term solutions for our customers.
As the industry continues to move towards renewable heating, Pete has expanded his expertise into air source heat pumps and now carries out servicing, maintenance and diagnostics on heat pump systems alongside traditional heating technologies. He regularly undertakes manufacturer training to further develop his technical knowledge and stay up to date with the latest products and industry standards.
As McGhie’s continues to grow, Pete is working towards taking on greater technical responsibilities within the business, helping to support both our engineers and our customers with more complex heating systems.
Dylan
Dylan
Dylan is a fully qualified Heating Engineer who enjoys getting stuck into every aspect of the job, from boiler installations to the latest renewable heating technologies. He believes there’s always something new to learn and is continually developing his skills through further training and qualifications. Dylan takes real pride in his work and enjoys being part of a team that’s committed to doing the job properly.
Jack
Jack
Jack is a fully qualified Heating Engineer with a particular passion for underfloor heating and our retrofit floor milling systems. He enjoys the practical side of creating efficient heating solutions and takes real pride in producing neat, high-quality installations. Whether he’s installing a new heating system or carrying out precision floor milling, Jack is committed to doing the job properly and continually developing his skills.
Rowyn
Rowyn
Rowan is an apprentice Heating Engineer who is progressing towards becoming a fully qualified Heating Engineer. Alongside his college studies, he is gaining practical experience across a wide range of heating installations, including our specialist retrofit underfloor heating and floor milling systems. Rowan is enthusiastic about learning, continually developing his skills and is becoming a valued member of the McGhie’s team.
Alfie
Alfie
Alfie is an apprentice Heating Engineer and is progressing well through his training with McGhie’s. Alongside his college studies, he has gained valuable practical experience in plumbing and heating installations, working alongside our experienced engineers on a wide variety of domestic projects. Alfie has a positive attitude, enjoys learning and is continually developing his skills as he works towards becoming a fully qualified Heating Engineer.
